It's about time for winter wardrobe and the pixie hat style with endless options to create is on my hooking fun now.
By chance, I saw the video of the Even Moss stitch crochet from Crochet Challenge Stitches of Crochet Happy. This easy crochet stitch added a cute and unique texture on the pattern I made :)
Materials:
5.5mm crochet hook
Blue and light blue worst weight yarn
Fuzzy yarn
Abbreviations:
Sc = Single crochet
Ch = Chain
Sl = Slip stitch
Note: this is a 3 to 6 months old baby hat but you can always adjust the size by decreasing or increasing the foundation chain and the length of hat.
Start with a foundation chain of 53, dc into 3rd chain from hook, dc across.
R1: ch 1, turn, skip 1st st, sl into next st ( hdc into next st, sl into next st ) repeat 'till end.
R2: ch 1, turn, skip 1st st, ( sl into next st, hdc into next st ) repeat 'till end.
R3: like R1
R4: like R2
R5: like R1
R6: like R2
R7: like R1
R8: turn, ch 3 ( as 1st dc ) dc across.
Repeat 2 times from R1 to R 8 ( fasten off )
Use light blue yarn to crochet border around the hat with hdc.
Finish it! I don't have any little model ( lol ) but the pointed top still looks so cute on this lamb toy.
