This is my attempt to make a big rose from the pattern of Blooming rose . A revisal, actually... and I would love to add this big rose to the fabulous crochet rose patterns of " Mother day".
Materials:
5mm crochet hook
Yarn: your favourtite colors
Yarn needle
Abbreviations:
Sc = Single crochet
Ch = Chain
Sl = Slip stitch
Inc = Increase
Dec = Decrease
Tc = Triple crochet
Dc = Double crochet
Inc tc = 2 triple crochet in same stitch
Inc dc = 2 double crochet in same stitch
Hdc= half double crochet
Dec hdc= half double crochet 2 stitches together
Inc hdc= 2 half double crochet in same stitch
Make a chain of 57, crochet 2 dc into the 3rd chain from hook.
Skip 2 chain, crochet 3 dc into next chain ( repeat 2 times)
Skip 2 chain, crochet 4 dc into next chain ( repeat 5 times)
Skip 2 chain, crochet 5 dc into next chain ( repeat 10 times)
Turn, ch 4, crochet 2 tc into next st ( repeat 3 times), ch 4, sl into next st to join
( finish 1 big petal)
{Sl into next st, ch 4, crochet 2 tc into next st ( repeat 3 times), ch 4, sl into next st to join} repeat 9 times.
{Sl into next st, ch 4, crochet 2 tc into next st ( repeat 2 times), ch 4, sl into next st to join} repeat 5 times.
{Sl into next st, ch 3, crochet 2 dc into next st , ch 3, sl into next st to join} repeat 3 times.
( fasten off and leave long end for sewing)
A finished rose has 18 petals.
Roll the first petal, hold it tight then wrap the next petals around.
Make it abit looser each round, dispart the petals for a better result.
Sew the petals together.
Attach a bead to the center ( I used crystal bead).
Hope you like it xD
I really like the idea! I should try it. Very pretty rose
