Sew a tailored baby bib

Tailor a baby bib? Is it too serious ? Sewing a baby bib definitely a super easy task for experienced sewists.
There are 101 ways to draft and sew a baby bib, all are so cute with straps, velcro tap and appliques. However, referring to a few suitable measurements would never be redundant when you sew some baby bibs for charity or for gifts.

Here's the basic diagram for drafting:

B: radius of neckline
C:  side to side of bib
D: top to bottom of bib

How to make lively eyes for amigurumi or crochet toys

crochet childsafe eyes amigurumi

There are quite a few eye-making methods for amigurumi or crocheted toys : safety eyes ( plastic eyes ), felted eyes, embroidered eyes, or crocheted eyes.
Safety eyes are secure with a lively look, also come in various sizes and colors but they are not recommended for babies and small kids due to choking hazard.

How to crochet Amigurumi with eyelash yarn - Fuzzy pop-eyed teddy

This is my first Amigurumi project with eyelash yarn and I want to share my experience about eyelash yarn crocheting here.

crochet amigurumi with eyelash yarn

Crocheting Amigurumi with eyelash yarn is abit harder than normal. Due to the tight single crochet stitches, it is hard to see or count stitches and rounds under the "fur", so just make sure to mark them.

Besides, forming a magic ring with a strand of smooth yarn and a strand of eyelash yarn will make it hard or even stuck when you fasten off the ring. So it is much better to make chain 2 instead of magic ring, but that doesn't mean it is impossible with magic ring.
After several tries, I noticed that it's easier to form a magic ring with smooth yarn first then hold a strand of eyelash yarn together to crochet the stitches.

How to assemble Amigurumi - Sleeping Teddy

I remember the time when I started to make Amigurumi. Overstuffing the dolls is what I did before notice that overstuff then take out a little of fiberfill would get what I want.

Besides my effort to make the stitches tight enough, to prevent the stuffing from showing. The embroidering and assembling parts were quite a challenge to me. Untill I realized I should sketch " the face" before embroidering.

Edging square collar tutorial

I made something pink recently. A simple blouse with square collar.

Make 2 braces for front and back side of the blouse. ( How to scan braces, visit this link http://www.mazkwok.com/2012/10/free-sewing-pattern-simple-nightwear.html )

Edging square collar

Sew the 2 braces to front and back necklines. Face the braces right side up to wrong side of the blouse. Cut a litle at the square corner.

Turn over.

And finish.

This technique would look good with a different color brace though.

Enjoy xD

Denim flower tutorial

I made a denim dress months ago. It looks quite plain so I guess it would be better with a flower as a
" focus". It's super easy.
First of all, cut 5 heart- shape petals.
