Little soft toys for Easter? Must be a bunny or a mixed type of Easter egg and bunny.
Materials: (I used)
5mm crochet hook
Yarn needle ( or hot glue gun)
DK yarn (Schachemayr Juvel): ( hold 2 strands or Aran yarn) white , pink , yellow, blue
Embroidery floss: red
Felt: pink
2 pairs of 0,7cm red beads or safety eyes
Fiber fill
Abbreviations:
Sc = single crochet
Sl = slip
Ch = chain
Inc = increase
Dec = decrease
St(s) = stitches
Note: This project is working in continuous rounds except the changing color part, you can choose to join rounds or using Jogless stripes crochet technique to get smooth stripes of color. Also, these small parts can be glued by hot glue gun (optional).
Short ears bunny
Head and body: work in join rounds ( sl into 1st stich to join) or jogless stripes crochet, using white, pink, yellow and blue yarn
Start with white yarn.
R1: magic ring, 8sc, 8 sts
R2: ( 1 sc, inc) repeat 4 times, 12 sts
R3: ( 2 sc, inc) repeat 4 times, 16 sts
R4: ( 3 sc, inc) repeat 4 times, 20 sts
R5: ( 4 sc, inc) repeat 4 times, 24 sts
R6: ( 5 sc, inc) repeat 4 times, 28 sts
R7, 8: sc around, 28 sts
Embroider nose and mouth with red floss at round 4.
Attach safety eyes.
R9, 10: change to pink yarn, sc around, 28 sts
R11, 12: change to yellow yarn, sc around, 28 sts
R13: change to blue yarn, ( 2 sc, dec) repeat 7 times, 21 sts
R14: ( 1 sc, dec) repeat 7 times, 14 sts (begin stuffing)
R15: dec , repeat 7 times, 7 sts ( fasten off )
Weave in end.
Ears: ( make 2), using white yarn
R1: magic ring, 5 sc, 5 sts
R2: inc, repeat 5 times, 10 sts
R3 to 5: sc around, 10 sts
Rnd 6: ( 3 sc, dec) repeat 2 times, 8 sts ( fasten off)
Leave long end for sewing.
No need to stuff
Fold at end and attach to top of the head.
Arms: ( make 2), using white yarn
R1: magic ring, 4 sc, 4 sts
R2: inc, repeat 4 times,8 sts
R3, 4: sc around, 8 sts
R5: (2 sc, dec) repeat 2 times, 6 sts ( fasten off)
Leave long end for sewing.
No need to stuff
Attach to side of the body.
Legs: ( make 2), using white yarn
R1: magic ring, 6 sc, 6 sts
R2: inc, repeat 6 times, 12 sts
R3 to 5: sc around, 12 sts
R6: ( 4 sc, dec) repeat 2 times, 10 sts
R7: dec, repeat 5 times, 5 sts ( fasten off)
Leave long end for sewing.
No need to stuff
Attach to lower side of the head.
Tail: using white yarn
R1: magic ring, 4 sc, 4 sts
R2: inc, repeat 4 times, 8 sts
R3, 4: sc around, 8 sts
R5: dec, repeat 4 times, 4 sts ( fasten off)
Leave long end for sewing.
No need to stuff
Attach to back of the body.
Long ears bunny
Head and body: same as short ears bunny, using white yarn only
Cut pink felt into heart shape to make tummy.
Attach to front of the body.
Arms, legs and tail: same as short ears bunny.
Ears: ( make 2), using white yarn
R1: magic ring, 4 sts
R2: ( 1 sc, inc) repeat 2 times, 6 sts
R3: ( 2 sc, inc) repeat 2 times, 8 sts
R4: ( 3 sc, inc) repeat 2 times, 10 sts
R5 to 9: ( 5 rounds), sc around, 10 sts
R10: ( 3 sc, dec) repeat 2 times, 8 sts
R11: ( 2 sc, dec) repeat 2 times, 6 sts
Leave long end for sewing.
No need to stuff
Cut pink felt to make inner ears.
Attach to side of the head.
