Spring: use any color yarn you want, make a chain about 20 to 30, crochet 3 sc into each loop across ( fasten off). Attach to top of the head.
Now hang it on your room's door knob and your kitty is ready to play with it xD
Note: I received a few comments that the finished toy is a little big for a cat toy. I'm sure a smaller hook size ( 3mm to 4mm) will deal with it. My sis also suggested an elastic for the spring to make a better bouncing effect since we don't have elastic yarn lol. Moreover, I bet a bit of stuffed catnip in the body part would be great though :)
This is beautiful. Can't wait to get started.
ReplyDeleteThanks xD
DeleteIm sure my "Smokey Joe" will love this. can't wait to get stared, too!
ReplyDeleteHi, I would love to see your "Smokey Joe" plays with it :)
DeleteIf you use a foundation sc it stretches like elastic!

DeleteHey I'm stuck at r16
ReplyDeletewhat do you mean by back to front loops
thanks
Hi, It means you will work 2 rounds ( 1 work with back-loops and another with front-loops) at R15 but I divided into R15 and R16 so it's clearer to follow.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI borrowed this book from Kindle https://www.amazon.co.uk/Knit-Crochet-Kitties-Many-Patterns-ebook/dp/B08GZD31HP and have been looking for cat toys to make for me new kitten. The book I link to has this pattern in it
Perhaps you licensed the author to use it, in which case that's cool, but there are other patterns from other bloggers on there so that made me suspicious
Catherine xx
PS I love the pattern and will be making it soon!!!
Thank you for the pattern! I am adopting 2 shelter cats soon and will be making this for them. It's such a good idea! :D
ReplyDeleteCan I get more clarification on how to attach the differant parts?
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Riley

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to make this. We rescued a kitty and she loves to chase pom poms on a string.
ReplyDeleteI bought special yarn for it yesterday.
Thanks for posting this.
Lo haré pronto, muchas gracias.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love this pattern and super beginner friendly! I'm making a 2nd one now for my sisters Co worker as a leaving present. I did modify the pattern slightly the 2nd time around and did double crochet instead of single on red 15 as it looked a little better on the frill edge
