"Little vintage lady" baby hat - free crochet pattern

I had some pretty yarn - crimson red with glitter ( my all time favourite color), just couldn't resist it and whipped up this crochet project. This one is a crochet baby hat pattern with a big flower.

Note: The finished hat is 17'' head circumference with materials indicated. This fast and easy pattern is fun to experience your crochet skill with chunky/ bulky soft yarn and big size crochet hook.
I used chainless starting dc for every first dc of each round instead of ch 3. There's another good crochet technique to use is ch 2, dc into same stitch ( counted as 1st dc). In the pattern below you'll see I simply state dc for every first dc of each round, so just choose your best technique :)

Hat: using chunky crimson red yarn and 9mm crochet hook
R1: form a magic ring or ch 2, 8 sc, sl into 1st stitch to join, 8 sts
R2: (inc dc) x 8 times, sl into 1st stitch to join, 16 sts
R3: (inc dc, fpdc) x 8 times, sl into 1st stitch to join, 24 sts
R4: (inc dc, dc, fpdc) x 8 times, sl into 1st stitch to join, 32 sts
R5: (inc dc, 2dc, fpdc) x 8 times, sl into 1st stitch to join, 40 sts
R6: (inc dc, 3dc, fpdc) x 8 times, sl into 1st stitch to join, 48 sts
R7: (5dc, fpdc) x 8 times, sl into 1st stitch to join, total 48 sts
R8: ch1, sc into same stitch, sc across, sl into 1st stitch to join, total 48 sts
R9, 10, 11: same as R8
R12: ch 4 or chainless starting triple crochet, 2 tc into same stitch, skip 3 st, sc into next st, skip 3 st, *crochet 6 tc into next st, skip 3 st, sc into next st, skip 3 st* repeat ** 5 times, 3 dc into last st, sl into 1st stitch to join. ( fasten off, weave in ends)
