Big fat cat - free amigurumi pattern

It's a big fat cat :D ( can't stop thinking about a bit whimsical amigurumi )



Materials: 5mm crochet hook   
Yarn: your favorite colors 
Yarn needle 
Fiber fill  
 

Abbreviations:
Sc Single crochet
Ch = Chain
Sl = Slip stitch
   

Inc = Increase 
Dec = Decrease       
Tc = Triple crochet
Dc = Double crochet
Inc tc = 2 triple crochet in same stitch
Inc dc = 2 double crochet in same stitch
Hdc= half double crochet
Dec hdc= half double crochet 2 stitches together
Inc hdc= 2 half double crochet in same stitch


Head:using beige yarn
R1: magic ring, 8 sts
R2: inc, (8 times), 16 sts
R3: 1sc,inc (8 times), 24 sts
R4: 2sc,inc (8 times), 32 sts
R5: 3sc,inc (8 times), 40 sts
R6: 4sc,inc (8 times), 48 sts
R7: 5sc,inc (8 times), 56 sts
R8: 6sc,inc (8 times), 64 sts
R9: 7sc,inc (8 times), 72 sts
R10: 8sc,inc (8 times), 80 sts
R11 to R25: sc around, 80 sts
R26: 8sc, dec (8 times), 72 sts
R27: sc around, 72 sts
R28: 7sc, dec (8 times), 64 sts
R29: sc around, 64 sts
R30: 6sc, dec (8 times), 56 sts
R31: 5sc, dec (8times), 48 sts
R32: 4sc, dec (8times), 40 sts ( stuff and fasten off)

Muzzle: using brown yarn
R1: magic ring, 6 sts
R2: inc, (6 times), 12 sts
R3: 1sc,inc (6 times), 18 sts
R4: 2sc,inc (6 times), 24 sts
R5: 3sc,inc (6 times), 30 sts
R6: 4sc,inc (6 times), 36 sts
R7: 5sc,inc (6 times), 42 sts
R8 and R9: sc around, 42 sts ( fasten off)
Embroider nose, mouth and whiskers with beige yarn.
Attach to the head.
Embroider eyes with brown yarn.



Ears: (make 2), using brown yarn.
R1: magic ring, 6 sts
R2: inc, (6 times), 12 sts
R3: 3sc, inc ( 3 times), 15 sts
R4 to R7: sc around, 15 sts ( fasten off)
No need to stuff.
Attach to top of the head.

Body: using beige yarn
R1: magic ring, 10 sts
R2: inc, (10 times), 20 sts
R3: 1sc,inc (10 times), 30 sts
R4: 2sc,inc (10 times), 40 sts
R5: 3sc,inc (10 times), 50 sts
R6: 4sc,inc (10 times), 60 sts
R7: 5sc,inc (10 times), 70 sts
R8: 6sc,inc (10 times), 80 sts
R9: 7sc,inc (10 times), 90 sts
R10: 8sc,inc (10 times), 100 sts
R11 to R 60: sc around, 100 sts
R61: 8sc, dec (10 times), 90 sts
R62: 7sc, dec (10 times), 80 sts
R63: 6sc, dec (10 times), 70 sts
R64: 5sc, dec (10 times), 60 sts
R65: 4sc, dec (10 times), 50 sts

Attach to the head.

Paws: (make 4), using brown yarn
R1: magic ring, 8 sts
R2: inc, (8 times), 16 sts
R3: 1sc,inc (8 times), 24 sts
R4: 2sc,inc (8 times), 32 sts
R5: 3sc,inc (8 times), 40 sts
R6 to R20: sc around, 40 sts
R21: 3sc, dec (8 times), 32 sts ( fasten off)
Stuff a little, embroider claws with beige yarn.
Attach to side of the body.

Tail: using beige and brown yarn.
Start with brown yarn.
R1: magic ring, 8 sts
R2: inc, (8 times), 16 sts
R3: 1sc, inc (8 times), 24 sts
R4: 2sc, inc (8 times), 32 sts
R5 to R16: sc around, 32 sts
R17: change to beige yarn, sc around, 32 sts
R18 to R35: sc around, 32 sts
R36: 2sc, dec (8 times), 24 sts ( fasten off)
Stuff and attach to back of the body.
