My first crocheted scarf - Vintage lady style with a little Gothic spice xD ( Talk about Goth... I have another big project to go lol )
Materials: ( I used )
8mm crochet hook
Worsted weight yarn: black and red
Yarn needle
Abbreviations:
Sc = Single crochet
Ch = Chain
Sl = Slip stitch
Inc = Increase
Dec = Decrease
Tc = Triple crochet
Dc = Double crochet
Inc tc = 2 triple crochet in same stitch
Inc dc = 2 double crochet in same stitch
Hdc= half double crochet
Dec hdc= half double crochet 2 stitches together
Inc hdc= 2 half double crochet in same stitch
Note: I used ch 2 ( not count as 1 dc), dc into same stitch for every first dc stitch of each round. Another great technique to use is standing dc. It's your choice.
Start with black yarn, crochet a chain of your desirable length for a scarf ( mine is 1.2 m)
R1: dc into 3rd chain from hook, dc across.
R2: turn,work all with front-loop only, ch 2 ( not count as 1 dc), dc into same stitch, dc across.
R3: change to red yarn, turn, ch 2, dc into same stitch, dc across.
R4: change to black yarn, turn, ch 2, dc into same stitch, dc across.
R5: same as R3
R6: same as R4
R7: turn, work all with back-loop only, ch 2, dc into same stitch, dc across.
You'll have 2 ribbed lines on your scarf as this image.
With black yarn, hdc around the scarf. Cut yarn to make tassels: red tassels for red lines and black tassels for black lines.
With red yarn, crochet 3 hdc into every loop of the ribbed lines along the scarf, make it across 2 ribbed lines ( Finish off, weave in ends )
There are parallel ruffle lines of love. Must be in time for Valentine :)
